In early 2020, a local artist named Steve Loya reached out to several experimental musicians in the DMV area about collaborating on a project that brought together music and art to raise money to support the animals that were being affected by the Australian bushfires.

Steve would assign you an animal and then you got to pick one for yourself. I got the Mountain Pygmy Possum and, of course, I had to choose a reptile so I picked the Thorny Devil.

The world quickly went to shit a few months after I had finished recording my tracks. A global pandemic and a full blown civil rights moment quickly dominated our lives and, unfortunately, the project was never officially released because of bad timing.

At first, I liked the idea of keeping these as secret tracks that only a select few had ever heard. However, it's been three years since I recorded these and, going back to listen, I still very much enjoy these tracks and want to share them with you now.
